Description

Group home Lästgränd is located in Gislaved. The service is for people with disabilities and care needs. The residents living in the group home have decisions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Working hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekend.

Responsibilities

Together with other employees, you work to make everyday life meaningful, clear, and rich in content for the residents. You will support/guide the residents in personal care, meals, medication management, home maintenance, community contacts, and communication.

An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time so they can live like others based on their conditions. Adapt the environment according to the residents' needs and prerequisites. The work is based on individual implementation plans.

The responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration as well as delegated health and medical tasks.

Tools that will be used include: PFA - pedagogical approach and working method, communication aids, visual support, sensory stimulation, and more.

Qualifications

Support educator: Support educator training with a focus on the disability field.

Support assistant: Care and nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, disability area, child and leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work.

Alternatively: Behavioral scientist, treatment educator, social educator, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Experience with the target group is required for the position, as well as the ability to swim and not having a shellfish allergy, and a B driver's license.
